    Surface Preparation & Compatibility

    • Suitable for metallic substrates including steel and aluminium alloys
    • Substrates should have surface treatment such as anodisation or conversion coating
    • Apply over suitable epoxy primers such as SP350
    • Primer application should follow the SP350 Technical Data Sheet requirements
    • Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and properly prepared before coating

    Mixing & Application

    • Spray Mixing Ratio by Weight: Base 100 / Hardener 26 / Thinner 20
    • Spray Mixing Ratio by Volume: Base 3 V / Hardener 1 V / Thinner 1 V
    • Store unmixed components between 18°C and 25°C for 24 hours before use
    • Mix XS420 base for 5 minutes using pneumatic or oscillating mixer
    • Mix base, hardener, and thinner until fully homogeneous
    • Application Temperature: 15°C to 35°C

    Spray Application Parameters

    • Spraying Viscosity at 20°C:
    • CA 4 Cup: 23 ± 5 seconds at 18°C-30°C
    • ISO 4 Cup: 38 ± 5 seconds at 18°C-30°C
    • CA 4 Cup: 21 ± 5 seconds at 30°C-35°C
    • ISO 4 Cup: 35 ± 5 seconds at 30°C-35°C
    • Gravity compressed air gun nozzle size: 1.3 mm to 1.8 mm
    • Relative Humidity: 30 % to 85 %

    Brush Application

    • Mixing Ratio by Weight: Base 100 / Hardener 26
    • Mixing Ratio by Volume: Base 3 V / Hardener 1 V
    • Remove safety ring and activate hardener before use
    • Shake container approximately 1 minute
    • If material is not homogeneous, mix further using a clean stick
    • Do not hermetically close touch-up kits after mixing base and hardener
    • Pot Life: 3 hours

    Coating Application

    • Number of coats depends on component size and geometry
    • For 20-40 µm dry film thickness:
    • Apply two coats to achieve required thickness
    • Allow 1 hour flash-off at 23°C ± 5°C before drying
    • For 40-60 µm dry film thickness:
    • Apply multiple coats to achieve required thickness
    • Allow 1.5 hours flash-off at 23°C ± 5°C before drying

    Equipment Cleaning

    • Clean equipment using suitable cleaning thinner such as D713
    • Use dry, oil-free compressed air during application
