    Information

    HI-TAK TufSeal® HT3000

    Overview

HI-TAK TufSeal® HT3000 is a pre-cured polyurethane tape sealant developed by Av-DEC for sealing and moisture-proofing irregular aircraft surfaces where excellent abrasion resistance is required. Featuring a fiberglass carrier with a PTFE backing for one-sided sealing, the tape provides outstanding adhesion to itself while remaining removable when maintenance is required. It is widely used throughout commercial aircraft interiors beneath floorboards, galleys, lavatories, door sills and structural stringers, and is also available in die-cut gasket configurations and flame-retardant versions.

    • Excellent moisture barrier for aircraft structures.
    • High abrasion resistance for demanding service environments.
    • Fiberglass reinforcement improves durability and dimensional stability.
    • PTFE backing provides effective one-sided sealing.
    • Excellent cohesion allows reliable sealing while remaining removable for maintenance.
    • Available as tape or custom die-cut gaskets.
    • Suitable for both production and aircraft MRO applications.

    Application Guidelines

    • Ensure surfaces are clean, dry and free from contaminants before installation.
    • Apply the tape firmly to achieve full contact with the sealing surface.
    • Select the appropriate tape width for the application.
    • Use die-cut gasket versions where repetitive sealing configurations are required.
    • Protect unused material from prolonged UV exposure while in storage.

    Compatibility & Limitations

    • Compatible with typical aviation metallic and non-metallic substrates.
    • Supplied fully cured with no chemical reactivity during installation.
    • Designed for sealing and moisture protection rather than structural bonding.
    • Available in standard and flame-retardant (FR) configurations.
    • Can be removed when maintenance access is required.
