3M’s Scotch Super?88 tape is a premium-grade, heavy-duty vinyl insulating tape used extensively in aerospace electrical applications. Its rubber-resin adhesive and elastic PVC backing combine to deliver excellent protection against moisture, abrasion, UV, acids, alkalis, and corrosion, even in harsh operating conditions. The tape remains flexible down to –18?°C and stable up to 105?°C, making it suitable for both cold-weather and hot-environment applications. Engineers value Super?88 for its reliability in building wiring harnesses, insulating splices, and protecting conductors, especially in safety-critical systems.
