The?3M?Scotch?35 vinyl electrical tape is a premium grade PVC backing with a rubber resin adhesive, designed for demanding electrical insulation and colour coding tasks in MRO and aviation applications. With a nominal thickness of 0.178?mm (7?mils) and ability to operate from –10?°C up to +105?°C (14?°F to 221?°F) it provides robust performance in aircraft wiring environments. The tape is rated to 600?V (UL) / 1000?V (CSA) and meets UL?510 flame?retardant standard, CSA?C22.2?No.197 and IEC?60454?3?1?6/F?PVCP/90 as available in the datasheet. It is often used by aircraft engineers when specifying colour coded phase or system ident labels or wrapping splices and terminations in accessible wiring runs. The reliability of the tape in temperature extremes, chemical exposure (UV, moisture, alkalis, solvents) and mechanical abrasion make it suitable for aircraft harness bays.
