The 3M?Scotch?Weld?8686 is an aerospace grade adhesive tape designed for high strength bonding applications. The 3?inch (≈76?mm) roll format supports panel bonding operations, composite repair, structural reinforcement, and is compatible with metallic and composite substrates. The tape provides controlled bond line via embedded glass beads (0.010” diameter) ensuring uniform thickness and consistent performance in shear, peel and impact. Its high performance, fast cure capability and structural strength build up support aerospace manufacturing and MRO requirements for minimal downtime and reliable bonds under service conditions including –40?°F (–40?°C) to 300?°F (~149?°C) environments. The 3?inch width suits wide format panel seams in commercial and military aircraft.
