The 3M 5453 PTFE Glass Cloth Tape is designed for demanding aerospace manufacturing and MRO applications requiring temperature resistance, chemical resistance, and low-friction surfaces. It combines a woven glass cloth backing impregnated with PTFE and a silicone adhesive capable of enduring continuous temperatures from approximately -73°C to +260°C (-100°F to 500°F). With a thickness of roughly 0.21 mm (~8.2 mils), it offers mechanical strength, tear resistance, and dimensional stability, making it ideal for mould release in composite manufacturing and as a barrier against galvanic corrosion.
