PR-1782 Class C is a cutting-edge sealant with a remarkable service temperature range from -54°C to 121°C (-65°F to 250°F), making it ideal for use in extreme aviation environments. What sets this sealant apart is its unique low density formulation, offering up to a twenty percent weight saving per unit volume compared to traditional sealants used for similar purposes. This weight-saving feature contributes to improved fuel efficiency and overall aircraft performance.

This two-part, manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide sealant starts as a thick liquid, making it easy to apply by roller or spatula. It cures at room temperature, forming a resilient seal with exceptional adhesion to common aircraft substrates. Even after prolonged exposure to various aircraft fuels, including jet fuel and aviation gas, PR-1782 Class C maintains its excellent elastomeric properties. It also exhibits resistance to limited contact with diphosphate ester-based hydraulic fluids, further enhancing its versatility.

Storage Life:

PRC Standard PR-1782 Class C in a Semkit® package has a storage life of at least 6 months when stored at temperatures below 25°C (77°F) in its original unopened packaging.
