Information
Engineered for the aviation industry, PR-1772 Class B is a two-part, chemically curing polysulfide sealant that combines lightweight formulation with durable sealing properties. It remains resilient under temperatures ranging from -65°F to 250°F, withstanding intermittent spikes up to 275°F. Even after exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline, this sealant retains excellent elastomeric properties and adhesion to common aircraft substrates.
Its thixotropic, low-sag paste consistency allows for precise application by extrusion gun or spatula, making it ideal for vertical or overhead surfaces. Tested to Boeing BMS 5-142 Class B standards, it provides dependable performance while supporting weight reduction goals in modern aircraft.
Key Features:
- Wide Temperature Range: Operates from -65°F to 250°F; intermittent up to 275°F
- Superior Adhesion: Bonds effectively to common aircraft substrates
- Room Temperature Curing: Convenient and efficient in maintenance or production settings
Applications:
PR-1772 Class B is ideal for integral fuel tank sealing, fuselage sealing, and other applications where fuel resistance and reduced weight are mission-critical. It is well-suited for aircraft maintenance, production, and retrofit projects.
