    Information

PR-1770 Class B is a premium, high-strength polysulfide sealant engineered specifically for aircraft integral fuel tanks and fuselage sealing applications. Featuring a wide service temperature range from -67°F (-55°C) to 356°F (180°C), this two-part, manganese dioxide-cured Permapol P-5 compound delivers durable, elastomeric sealing performance even after prolonged exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas. Its low sag, thixotropic paste formulation ensures easy application by extrusion gun or spatula, curing at room temperature into a resilient, adhesive sealant compatible with common aircraft substrates.

    Key Features:
    • Chemical Resistance: Maintains excellent elastomeric properties after long-term exposure to jet fuels and aviation gasoline, preventing fuel leaks and structural degradation.
    • Strong Adhesion: Bonds effectively to a variety of primed aircraft substrates, promoting structural integrity and fuel containment.
    • Long Shelf Life: Stable for at least 9 months when stored properly, supporting inventory management.

    Applications:
Designed primarily for fillet sealing integral fuel tanks in aircraft, PR-1770 Class B is also ideal for sealing seams and joints on fuselage components where fuel containment and environmental resistance are critical. It suits aerospace maintenance, repair, and manufacturing operations requiring dependable, long-lasting fuel tank seals.
