The PR?812 sealant from PPG Aerospace is a two?part, primerless, synthetic rubber paste designed for high?temperature aerospace applications. With a service temperature range from –65?°F (–54?°C) to +400?°F (+204?°C) and the ability to withstand flash temperatures up to ~2000?°F (~1093?°C), it provides reliable sealing in critical firewall/engine compartments. It cures at room temperature to a resilient seal bonding to common aircraft substrates (aluminium, titanium, stainless steel). It offers excellent resistance to aviation fuels, oils, solvents and thermal cycling. For aircraft engineers working in MRO or OEM, specifying PR?812 ensures compliance with high performance fire?containment sealing criteria in airframe and engine zones.
