Information
PR-1440 Class B Fuel Tank Sealant
Overview
PR-1440 Class B Fuel Tank Sealant is a two-part, manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide sealant developed by PPG Aerospace for aircraft integral fuel tanks and fuselage sealing applications. Designed for extrusion gun or spatula application, the low-sag, thixotropic compound provides outstanding adhesion to common aerospace substrates while maintaining excellent elastomeric properties after prolonged exposure to jet fuel, aviation gasoline, hydraulic fluids, and harsh operating environments. The sealant offers a service temperature range from -54°C to +121°C, with intermittent exposure up to +135°C.
