    Information

PR-1440 Class B is a high-performance, two-part aircraft integral fuel tank sealant specifically engineered for demanding aerospace applications. With a service temperature range from -65°F to 250°F (and intermittent spikes up to 275°F), this manganese dioxide-cured polysulfide compound offers outstanding sealing and fuel resistance. Designed for fillet sealing in fuel tanks and fuselage structures, PR-1440 cures at room temperature to form a flexible, fuel-resistant seal with excellent adhesion to common aircraft substrates.

    Key Features:
    • Fuel-Resistant Performance: Maintains exceptional elastomeric properties after long-term exposure to jet fuel and aviation gas, ensuring a reliable seal in critical areas.
    • Superior Adhesion: Bonds securely to a variety of aircraft substrates when proper surface preparation is followed, as per SAE AIR 4069 guidance.
    • Long Shelf Life: Offers a storage life of at least 9 months when kept in original, unopened containers below 80°F (27°C), supporting inventory flexibility.

    Applications:
PR-1440 Class B is ideal for fillet sealing integral aircraft fuel tanks, general fuselage and structural sealing, and use in aerospace maintenance, repair, and production. It excels in applications requiring long-term resistance to aviation fuels and fluctuating temperatures.

Designed to meet the rigorous demands of the aerospace industry, this sealant delivers long-lasting performance where it matters most. Contact us today to learn more or place your order.
