PPG’s PR186-1015 is an aerospace-grade primer used to protect bare or prepared metal surfaces during repair or production. In MRO lines, engineers apply this primer to skinned areas, fastener holes, lap joints, or other exposed metal to provide a protective conversion / chromate layer that resists corrosion under environmental stress. The primer improves adhesion of coatings or sealants on top and prolongs the life of the structural metal underneath. Its small-volume container suits precision application in tight or small areas.
