Overview
PPG’s PR186-1015 is an aerospace-grade primer designed to protect bare or prepared metal surfaces during repair or production. In MRO operations, engineers apply it to skinned areas, fastener holes, lap joints, and other exposed metal surfaces. It provides a protective conversion/chromate layer that resists corrosion under environmental stress, improves adhesion for coatings or sealants applied on top, and prolongs the life of structural metal. Its small-volume container enables precise application in tight or confined areas.
