    Overview

    5421/2921 Anti-Static Kit Type I is a two-component polyurethane anti-static primer developed by PPG Aerospace to dissipate electrostatic charges from composite aircraft structures to the metallic airframe. Designed for application to non-conductive substrates such as glass fibre, aramid fibre laminates and engineering plastics, it provides excellent electrical conductivity, flexibility and water resistance. The coating is primarily intended for aircraft fairings and composite structures, but is not suitable for radomes or antenna applications.

    • Apply over correctly prepared primer/surfacer systems
    • Clean surfaces using DeSoto® CN20 or Desoclean™ 45 solvent cleaners before application
    • Not suitable for radomes or antenna structures
    • Allow all components to stabilise between 15°C and 30°C for at least 24 hours before mixing
    • Clean spray equipment immediately after use using DeSoto® CN20, CN44 or Desoclean™ 45 solvent cleaners
    • Read the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before handling and avoid overexposure

    • Do not specify this product for radomes or antenna structures where RF transparency is required
    • Store unopened materials between 5°C and 35°C to maximise shelf life
