ALEXIT® FST-Strukturlack 404-12 is a solvent-based, two-component polyurethane topcoat developed specifically for aerospace cabin interiors. Designed to produce both smooth and textured decorative finishes, it combines rapid drying with excellent abrasion resistance while meeting stringent aerospace Fire, Smoke and Toxicity (FST) requirements. The coating is widely approved across major aerospace OEM specifications and is suitable for high-performance interior applications requiring durable, lightweight decorative protection.

Compatibility & Safety Notes
- Apply directly over clean, prepared primer or substrate where appropriate
- Composite substrates should be prepared using approved solvent-borne or waterborne fillers
- Chemical pretreatment or suitable primer can improve adhesion on metal substrates
- Bright colours should be applied over a white primer such as ALEXIT FST Filler 343-60
- Film thickness should comply with individual OEM specifications
- Storage temperature: 5-35°C in unopened original containers
Application & Curing
- Mix Ratio (by weight): 20 parts base to 1 part Hardener 400
- Recommended Thinners: ALEXIT Thinner 62 or Thinner 901-45
- Typical thinner addition: 20% for first coat
- Spray nozzle: 1.4-2.0 mm
- Spray pressure: 1.5-4.0 bar (smooth application)
- Intermediate flash-off: 15-30 minutes at 20°C for textured finishes
- Dust dry: Approximately 20 minutes at 20°C
- Assembly dry: 2 hours at 20°C or 1 hour at 60°C
- Fully cured: Approximately 7 days at 20°C
- Pot life after mixing: Approximately 8 hours at 20°C
