Overview
Sermetel 273 is a red-coloured catalyst/hardener used in aerospace coating systems. Mixed with the matched coating (e.g., Sermetel 249), it initiates curing to produce a protective film resistant to fuel splash, hydraulic fluid, saltwater aerosol, UV, and abrasion. Supplied in a 1 US gallon tin with 12-month shelf life when unopened, it is approved for aircraft use and classified as hazardous material UN3264 Class 8, PG III.
