MIL-PRF-85285E Type I / Type II Class H Polyurethane Coating is a high-solids, two-component aliphatic polyester polyurethane coating formulated for demanding aerospace and industrial environments. Designed to produce a tough, chemically cured finish, it offers excellent resistance to chemicals, solvents, abrasion and ultraviolet exposure while providing long-term exterior durability. Available for brush, roller and spray application, the coating meets the MIL-PRF-85285E military specification and is suitable for aircraft, defence and heavy-duty industrial applications.

Compatibility & Safety Notes

• Recommended over MIL-PRF-23377G or MIL-P-85582D primers
• Not recommended over alkyd-based primers
• Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from grease, wax and loose coatings before application
• If thinning is required, use MIL-T-81772B Type I Polyurethane Thinner
• Contents are flammable�use only with adequate ventilation
• Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use

Application & Curing

• Application Method: Brush, roller or spray
• Mix Ratio: 1 part pigmented component to 1 part catalyst by volume
• Mechanically mix each component before combining
• Allow a 15-minute induction period after mixing
• Pot Life: Minimum 5 hours at 25°C
• Set to Touch: Within 6 hours
• Dry Hard: Within 12 hours
• Use MIL-T-81772B Type I thinner when thinning is required
