BR® 6747-1 Primer is a one-part, chromate-containing, modified epoxy corrosion-inhibiting primer designed for aerospace bonding and structural protection applications. It is a 100% water-based, zero-VOC system that provides corrosion resistance and mechanical performance comparable to solvent-based primers while supporting modern environmental compliance requirements.

Application Guidelines
- Surface must be clean, dry, and grease-free before application
- Apply via HVLP, electrostatic, or conventional spray equipment
- Apply 2–3 thin box coats for uniform film build
- Allow 30–60 seconds flash-off between coats
- Dry time: 15–60 minutes at ~24°C and controlled humidity
Curing Process
- Cure at 121°C (250°F) for 60 minutes (standard)
- Alternative cure up to 177°C (350°F) for 60 minutes
- Primed assemblies remain stable for extended storage when protected
Storage & Shelf Life
- 12 months at 4–13°C
- 6 months at 14–24°C
- 30 days at 24–32°C
- Do not freeze or exceed 32°C
