Overview
Aviox Finish 77702 is a three-component, high-solids, low VOC polyurethane topcoat developed by AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings for aircraft exterior finishing. Designed as a single-stage, isocyanate-cured coating, it delivers outstanding gloss retention, UV resistance, chemical resistance and long-term durability while reducing process cycle times through advanced high-solids technology. Multiple activator options provide a wide application window for different aircraft sizes, environmental conditions and repair requirements, making it an excellent choice for OEM production and MRO refinishing.

- Apply preferably over freshly cured primers within their specified recoat window

Practical Suggestions for Your Team (AOG Mindset)
- Select the correct activator according to aircraft size, ambient temperature and repair area
- Mix thoroughly for at least 60 seconds after adding both the hardener and activator to ensure proper cure
- Apply two full wet coats, adding a third coat only where additional hiding is required
- Verify flash-off using the finger-touch method before applying subsequent coats
- For bright colours, apply an off-white foundation colour first to reduce the total number of coats
- Clean spray equipment immediately after use with Solvent Cleaning C 28/15 or Solvent Cleaning 98068
