    Information

Primer?P60?A by AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings is a strontium chromate based three component water reducible epoxy primer designed for high chemical resistance and protection of metallic aircraft structures, particularly aluminium alloys treated with Alodine, CAA, SAA or TSA. It is mixable and sprayable, and dries to a film of 15–25µm (0.6?1.0mils) which provides both corrosion barrier and adhesion promotion for top?coats such as F70?A. Operating conditions include mixing & application at 1535?°C (5995?°F). As such it is highly relevant in aircraft maintenance for structural corrosion control, protective coatings, and repair of metallic airframe sub assemblies. Engineers use it when restoring or protecting structural surfaces that require OEM qualified painting and corrosion protection.
