Overview
Aviox Finish 77702 is a three-component, high-solids, low VOC polyurethane topcoat developed by AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings for aircraft exterior finishing. Designed as a single-stage, isocyanate-cured coating, it delivers outstanding gloss retention, UV resistance, chemical resistance and long-term durability while reducing process cycle times through advanced high-solids technology. Multiple activator options provide a wide application window for different aircraft sizes, environmental conditions and repair requirements, making it an excellent choice for OEM production and MRO refinishing.

- Compatible with most commonly used aerospace primer systems
- Apply preferably over freshly applied primer while observing primer recoat windows
- Remove oil, grease and other contaminants before application
- Recondition aged primers or topcoats using very fine aluminium oxide non-woven abrasives or P320 stearate-free abrasive paper
- Spot repairs can be completed using Spot Repair Activator SRA9009
- Comply with all local safety, disposal and transport regulations and consult the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use

Practical Suggestions for Your Team (AOG Mindset)
- Select the correct activator according to aircraft size, repair area and ambient temperature
- Mix the base with Hardener 90150 for at least 60 seconds before adding the activator, then mix for a further 60 seconds
- Apply two full wet coats, adding a third coat only where additional hiding is required
- Use the recommended flash-off time for the selected activator before applying subsequent coats
- Apply an off-white foundation colour before bright transparent colours to reduce the number of coats required
- Clean spray equipment immediately after use with Solvent Cleaning C 28/15 or Solvent Cleaning 98068
