TOPCOAT A1500-M is a three-component polyurethane aircraft exterior topcoat designed to provide high chemical resistance, excellent UV resistance, and durable decorative finishing for aircraft surfaces. The coating system is suitable for commercial and aerospace exterior applications where long-term appearance retention and environmental resistance are required.

Surface Preparation & Compatibility
- Apply preferably over a previously sanded anticorrosion primer
- Recommended sanding grade: 240 to 400 abrasive paper
- Surface must be blown clean and free from contamination
- Clean substrate using a lint-free cloth wetted with isopropyl alcohol
- Ensure primer surface is suitable before application
Mixing & Application
- Mixing Ratio by Volume (Spray Application):
- Base A1500-M: 1 V
- Hardener A1500-M: 1 V
- Thinner P2: 0 V to 0.5 V
- Store unmixed products between 18°C and 25°C for 24 hours before use
- Mix A1500-M base for 10 minutes before application
- Mix base and hardener until completely homogenised
- Application temperature: 15°C to 35°C
- Recommended filtration: 80-150 µm filter
Textured Application
- Use FRS Hardener for textured finish applications
- Mixing Ratio: 100% wt A1500-M Base + 28% wt FRS Hardener
- Recommended dynamic air pressure: 0.04 bar to 0.05 bar
Application Equipment
- Gravity compressed air gun
- Nozzle size: 1.5 mm to 1.8 mm
- Spray using clean, dry, oil-free air
- Equipment cleaning: Use suitable polyurethane paint cleaning solvent

Coating Application Process
- Apply one crossed coat
- Allow 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes flash-off until solvent evaporation
- Apply additional wet crossed coats as required
- Achieve final dry film thickness of 20 µm to 100 µm

- Preferably use A1000 BRUSH hardener for brush application
Drying & Curing
- Recoatable at 23°C: 2 hours to 72 hours
- Recoatable at 60°C: 1 hour to 8 hours

- Drying times based on 60 µm dry film thickness
