Overview
Pyroflex® 7 D 713 is a three-component conductive polyurethane primer developed by AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings for non-conductive aerospace substrates such as composite structures. Designed to provide a durable conductive coating with excellent resistance to aircraft fluids and chemicals, it delivers a matt black finish with a surface resistance of less than 50 k?. The primer is widely approved by major aerospace OEMs and is suitable for aircraft manufacturing, composite structures and MRO operations.

Application Guidelines
- Remove mould release agents and degrease using approved cleaning solvents.
- Recondition aged primer using very fine Scotch-Brite® before recoating.
- Mix thoroughly before adding Hardener 0651.
- Allow a 15-minute induction period after mixing.
- Spray one full coat followed by a cross-coat after a 5-15 minute flash-off.
- Apply using conventional or HVLP spray equipment with a 1.4-1.8 mm nozzle.
- Clean equipment using Solvent Cleaning C 28/15 or Solvent Cleaning 98068.
Compatibility & Limitations
- Designed for composite and other non-conductive aerospace substrates.
- Must be applied over properly prepared surfaces.
- Observe primer recoat windows before applying subsequent coatings.
- If the 72-hour recoat limit is exceeded, abrade the surface before recoating.
- Application outside the recommended environmental conditions should be validated with AkzoNobel.
