The S66/16 hardener (AkzoNobel product code 92057) is a key curing component in the AkzoNobel aerospace epoxy primer systems. When mixed with compatible epoxy primer base resins and appropriate thinner, it forms a robust protective coating for structural aircraft parts, offering excellent fluid resistance (including aviation fuels, hydraulic fluids like Skydrol) and compatibility with conversion coatings and anodised aluminium surfaces. Specifically designed for military aircraft exterior use, the system provides corrosion inhibiting performance under severe service conditions and supports high reliability airframe protection.
