    Information

The Desothane HS CA8000 is a premium, low VOC polyurethane topcoat designed specifically for the aerospace industry. This advanced coating is engineered to deliver superior protection and aesthetic appeal to aircraft exterior surfaces. Ideal for use over Desoprime epoxy primers, the CA8000 topcoat ensures a durable and high-performance finish that meets rigorous industry standards.

    Key features:

    • High Solids, Low VOC: The CA8000 formulation provides a high solids content while maintaining low VOC levels, making it an environmentally friendly choice without compromising quality.
    • Superior Adhesion: Exceptional bonding properties ensure excellent adhesion to epoxy primers, enhancing the longevity and durability of the coating.
    • Outstanding Gloss and Color Retention: Maintain a vibrant, glossy finish that resists fading over time, ensuring the aircraft looks pristine for longer.
    • Excellent Fluid Resistance: The coating offers robust resistance to various fluids, protecting the aircraft surface from potential damage caused by exposure to harsh substances.

    Applications:

To achieve a dry film thickness of 50 to 75 micrometers, apply 2 to 3 coats. Start with a medium first coat, ensuring a maximum wet film thickness of 50 micrometers, and allow it to tack up before proceeding. For the second coat, apply slightly thicker than the first, with a maximum wet thickness of 62 micrometers, and refer to the drying table for recommended inter-coat times.

Invest in this high-quality topcoat to ensure superior protection and lasting beauty for your fleet.
