Overview

F580-2080 Epoxy Primer is a two-component, conventional solids, strontium chromate-based epoxy primer developed by PPG Aerospace for interior and exterior aircraft applications. Designed for suitably pre-treated aluminium alloys, it provides long-term corrosion inhibition, excellent adhesion and fluid resistance while also being suitable for aircraft fuel tank applications. The primer is compatible with a wide range of aerospace topcoat systems and can also be incorporated into PPG's F565-4010 selectively strippable coating system.

• Apply only to correctly pre-treated aluminium substrates
• Clean surfaces using DeSoto® CN20 or Desoclean™ 45 solvent cleaners before application
• No induction time is required after mixing
• Allow all components to stabilise between 15°C and 30°C for at least 24 hours before mixing
• Store unopened material between 5°C and 35°C
