Molykote G-Rapid Plus is a paste designed for lubricating with low friction designed for running-in of metallic components and assembly. The specialty lubricant offers high pressure absorption capacity, suppresses stick-slip, provides emergency running performance and prevents seizure and scoring. It is well suited for the press-fit production of all types of machine elements, as a running-in lubricant for new machines and gears. It can also be used to lubricate, tooth gearing, splined shafts, moving screws, worm gearing, pumps, fittings, guides on machine tools, pulleys, wheel flanges, roller bearings and bolts. The color of Molykote G-Rapid Plus Paste is black and the density at 20°C is 1.40 g/ml. It is composed of mineral oil and solid lubricants. The advance product has a service temperature range of -35° to 450°C. It offers good coverage, facilitates disassembly and reduces formation of fretting corrosion. Four ball tester weld load is 5300N and the Almen Wieland machine OK load is less than 20,000N. Unworked penetration is 255-275 mm/10 and it is resistant to water.
