Information
BONDERITE® L-GP D31A High Temperature Graphite Lubricant Aerosol
Overview
BONDERITE® L-GP D31A (formerly Pulvegraph D31A) is a high-temperature graphite aerosol lubricant formulated to provide durable dry-film lubrication and heat-resistant protective coatings. Based on pure lamellar graphite, it produces a low-friction coating that polymerises at room temperature and continues to harden when exposed to elevated temperatures. Designed for applications up to and beyond 1,000°C, it is ideal for foundry, forging, glass manufacturing and other industrial processes requiring dry lubrication under extreme heat.

- Manufactured by Henkel under the BONDERITE® industrial lubricant range
- Designed for high-temperature dry-film lubrication applications
- Suitable for industrial processes operating up to 1,000°C and above
Performance Highlights
- Provides excellent dry-film lubrication at extremely high temperatures
- Polymerises at ambient temperature within approximately 15 minutes
- Film hardness and abrasion resistance increase with operating temperature
- Resistant to heat, wear, washing and abrasion after curing
- Withstands exposure to temperatures exceeding 1,000°C
- After light curing at 100°C, the coating becomes insoluble in common solvents
- Excellent release properties for tooling and mould applications
Typical Applications
- Glass manufacturing moulds and bottle deflectors
- Foundry moulds and pins
- Gravity die casting lubrication
- Pressure die casting plunger treatment
- Forging dies
- Titanium forging operations
- Oven chains and high-temperature moving components
- General high-temperature dry lubrication
Compatibility & Safety Notes
- Apply only to clean, degreased surfaces
- Spray onto surfaces below 55°C
- Use with adequate ventilation
- Contents are flammable
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes
- Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use
- Store between 5°C and 40°C
Application & Curing
- Thoroughly degrease the surface before application
- Shake the aerosol vigorously for at least 30 seconds before use
- Spray from a distance of approximately 15-20 cm
- Apply only to surfaces below 55°C
- Film polymerises in approximately 15 minutes at ambient temperature
- Light curing at 100°C significantly improves solvent and abrasion resistance
- Further hardening occurs naturally during high-temperature service
Packaging & Procurement
- Supplied in convenient aerosol spray cans
- Coverage: Approximately 7 m per can
- Available through Henkel BONDERITE® distributors worldwide
Why This Product is Chosen for AOG / MRO
- Provides reliable dry lubrication where conventional lubricants fail
- Excellent performance in extreme heat environments
- Clean aerosol application simplifies maintenance work
- Improves release properties on tooling and high-temperature components
