Product Overview
Huntsman QZ & QV Mould Release Agents are specially formulated for aerospace and industrial moulding applications. They include a range of PVA, wax, and silicone-based products to provide effective release and surface protection.
Products
- QZ 5101: Film-forming Poly-Vinyl-Alcohol (P.V.A.) release agent, also usable as a sealer for porous surfaces. Produces glossy mouldings.
- QV 5110: Cloth-applied wax-based release agent for general applications, polishable to a lustre.
- QZ 5111: Liquid wax suspension in solvent for general and intricate mould surfaces. Produces a hard, polished layer.
- QZ 13: Liquid silicone-based release agent for ambient and elevated temperatures. Quick application but blurs fine surface detail, requiring complete removal for painted mouldings.

Application Guidelines
- QZ 5101: Apply by brush or spray in one or more layers. Non-silicone wax may be needed for even coating.
- QV 5110: Apply by brush or cloth, allow 30 min drying, then polish with a soft cloth.
- QZ 5111: Apply 2–3 layers by brush or spray, allow solvent to evaporate (~15 min), shake or stir before use.
- QZ 13: Apply 2–3 light coats by brush or spray. Contains flammable solvent, use safety precautions.
