Information
Magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)?) is widely used in aerospace materials to improve fire resistance. When incorporated into coatings, resins or sealants, it acts as a heat sink and decomposes endothermically, releasing water and thereby retarding flame spread. It is also used in formulations to neutralise acidic components or adjust pH.
