DTD189A 22 SWG stainless steel locking wire is a soft, annealed aviation-grade safety wire used industry-wide to safety-wire fasteners that must not back off in service. Supplied as a 0.5-kg reel, the wire’s 22 SWG (≈0.711 mm / 0.028 in) diameter balances flexibility for twisting with sufficient tensile retention for common aircraft fasteners.
