ArmorShell L1310KUP is a polyester knit fabric base, coated on both sides with PVC to form a fireresistant membrane sheet. The coated fabric has a total thickness of approximately 0.44 mm (17.5?mils ±2), and a total areal weight of about 459?g/m² (13.5 oz/yd²), making it robust yet flexible enough to conform to curved surfaces. Its coating is distributed 50/50 on both sides, providing dielectric and thermal sealing performance. The material is rated for continuous/intermittent temperatures of ~180/200 °F (≈?82/93?°C), offering a degree of heat resistance suitable for aircraft environments. It also meets flameresistance standards (e.g., FTMS 5903, NFPA?701 small-scale), with after-flame times under 2 seconds and char lengths under 6 in (≈ 15 cm). ArmorShell is often used in aerospace MRO for protective coverings, fire barriers, insulation membranes, or patching areas where heat or fire resistance is required.
