Ardrox?2330, manufactured by Chemetall (BASF), is designed for aerospace paint and carbon stripping processes. The system is diphase: an upper oil seal layer limits evaporation, while the lower active phase dissolves coatings. Typical operation involves immersion of dry components, controlled dip times, draining, then rinsing and drying (e.g., via recirculating ovens at ~40–80?°C / 104–176?°F). This product contains no chlorinated solvents, phenolics, or heavy metals. It is widely used in aerospace MRO for its effectiveness on a broad range of paint systems (epoxy, acrylic, polyurethane) and tough carbon residues.
