Loctite?406 is a 1 part ethyl cyanoacrylate instant adhesive engineered for demanding bonding layouts where gap fill is minimal (~0.12 mm) and cure time is extremely fast (~30 seconds on steel). It is particularly suited for plastics and elastomers, including EPDM, and when used with the appropriate primer it may bond difficult substrates such as PP, PE and PTFE. Aircraft engineers leverage such adhesives in MRO environments when installing or repairing minor components where fast handling strength is required. The adhesive’s operating temperature range from –40 °C to 120 °C (–40 °F to 250 °F) supports a wide variety of ambient conditions in aviation.
