Information
Loctite 404 is a one-part, low-viscosity cyanoacrylate designed for very fast fixturing in rubber and many plastics. Its low viscosity allows easy application into tight joints and onto small components (for example, bonding O-rings, small gaskets, or attaching identification plates). It offers high tensile and shear performance in appropriate substrates and is widely used in aviation supply chains, stocked by aviation distributors and appearing on aircraft supply catalogues. Engineers value it for speed, minimal fixturing equipment, and compatibility with many elastomers; however, compatibility with specific rubbers/plastics and environmental resistance must be checked against manufacturer technical data sheets.
