Loctite?402 is a general purpose ethyl cyanoacrylate instant adhesive, designed for rapid fixturing and bonding of plastics, rubbers and metals with close fitting parts. With its high shear strength (~754 psi shear for 25?mL version) and specific gravity ~1.0?1.1 it allows fast handling and maintenance turnaround. In the aviation environment, it serves as a handy adhesive for non structural bonding and quick fixes in service or line maintenance situations where the part geometry is tight and downtime needs minimising.
