Information
Loctite?401 is a one component, moisture curing cyanoacrylate adhesive designed for rapid bonding of a wide variety of substrates including metals, plastics, elastomers and porous materials. It offers a shear strength of ~20?N/mm² (≈?2900?psi) on grit blasted mild steel and cures in seconds (fixture time ~5?s on steel). Operating temperatures span from –40?°C to 120?°C (–40?°F to 250?°F). For aviation engineers, this adhesive is valuable when a fast, reliable bond is required in nonstructural applications or for small components where mechanical fastening is impractical. Supplied in 50?g (metric) or ~1.76?oz (imperial) size, the product ensures efficient usage in maintenance contexts with minimal waste.
