Information
Loctite 277 is a high-viscosity, high-strength anaerobic adhesive designed for locking large fasteners (typically over 25?mm in diameter). When confined between threads, it cures to form a solid polymer that resists loosening, leakage, and corrosion, even under vibration and stress. It fluoresces under UV light for inspection and is designed to be disassembled by applying localized heat (e.g., up to ~250?°C). Its use in aircraft is common where maintenance intervals are long and fastener integrity is critical.
