Loctite?273 is a well-known high-strength anaerobic threadlocker trusted in aerospace and industrial applications. Once fully cured between metal surfaces, it forms a polymer that resists vibration, shock, temperature changes, and solvent exposure. Aerospace engineers apply it to critical high-load or torque-critical fasteners where failure due to bolt loosening must be prevented. Due to its strong bond, removal often requires heating (or controlled break-out torque) and is typically only done during heavy maintenance or overhaul. It’s especially useful in components that must remain mechanically locked over long service intervals.
