The Loctite?270 is a highperformance, anaerobic threadlocking adhesive developed by Henkel for aerospace and heavyduty industrial applications. When applied between close fitting metal threads and deprived of air, it cures to a tough polymer that locks the threads, resists vibration induced loosening, tolerates minor surface oil contamination and works on passive substrates such as stainless steel and aluminium with plating. It supports demanding temperature ranges (–65?°C to +180?°C) and allows disassembly only via heating to approximately 300?°C if needed. The product is extremely relevant to aviation engineers because many aircraft assemblies are subject to high vibration, rapid temperature changes, corrosion risk and assembly access constraints, so a permanent, reliable locking method reduces maintenance and inspection loads. The 250?mL size offers a bulk application quantity for maintenance or overhaul tasks.
