Loctite 222MS is a low-strength, one-part anaerobic adhesive formulated for locking and sealing small fasteners, such as screws and studs under ~¼″. It cures within the void between close metal threads when air is excluded, forming a polymer that resists vibration and loosening but can be removed easily by hand using tools. The “MS” grade indicates that the product meets certain military specification standards for threadlocking. Because of its removable nature, it is widely used in maintenance-heavy areas of aircraft, such as interior trim, avionics rack assemblies, and other places where fastener turnover is frequent.
