Overview

Araldite® 2015-1 is a toughened, two-component epoxy paste adhesive designed for structural bonding of composites, metals and dissimilar materials. Curing at room temperature to produce a resilient, high-strength bond, it features excellent gap-filling properties, non-sag application up to 10 mm, and outstanding resistance to weathering. It is particularly suited to bonding GRP, SMC and other composite materials commonly used in aerospace, transport and industrial manufacturing.

• Suitable for aluminium, steel, stainless steel, brass, copper and many engineering plastics and composites
• Best results achieved on clean, degreased and mechanically abraded surfaces
• Use acetone or isopropanol for surface preparation where appropriate
• Avoid petrol, low-grade alcohols and paint thinners for cleaning
• Wear suitable gloves and eye protection during handling
• Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use

• Recommended Bond Line Thickness: 0.05-0.10 mm

• Typical Cure to >1 MPa Shear Strength: 4 hours at 23°C or 1 hour at 40°C

• Tools should be cleaned with hot water and soap before adhesive cures
