    Information

3M ScotchWeld EC1751 B/A is specially formulated for demanding aerospace structural repair. The base is a thick grey paste with aluminium filler and the accelerator is amber. The mix gives a 45-minute working life, allowing precise application (trowel, spatula or automated dispensing) without sagging on vertical or overhead surfaces. Once fully cured, the adhesive exhibits excellent environmental resistance, high peel and shear strength, and can be machined or sanded. As it can cure at room temperature or with added heat, and due to its void-filling properties, it is a preferred material for structural reinforcement and repair in maintenance, manufacturing and overhaul operations. It is used in aerospace when robust and durable bonding is required, especially where fasteners are undesirable or insufficient.

    Specification codes:

    • ASTM?D1002 (overlap shear testing) ASTM?D1876 (Tpeel adhesion testing) 3M quality system AS9100 (manufacturer quality standard)
