Information
DP8407NS is a grey, two-part acrylic “metal bonder” adhesive with a 10:1 base:accelerator mix. It is designed to bond metals (including bare and lightly oily surfaces) with minimal prep, eliminating or reducing the need for grinding or aggressive cleaning. The adhesive has a 7 minute work life, giving time for alignment and adjustment, and builds strength quickly, full cure is around 24?h at 23?°C. It features spacer beads (~0.010?in / 0.25?mm) to control bond line thickness, ensuring consistent performance. It maintains excellent impact resistance even at low temperatures (down to –40?°C / –40?°F), making it suitable for harsh environmental conditions. In aerospace MRO, it's used for structural metal to metal bonding, replacing or supplementing rivets, welding, or mechanical fasteners to reduce weight and improve fatigue life.
