The 3M?Scotch?Weld?DP8405NS in a 490 mL cartridge allows for large scale structural adhesive application where the same high performance two part toughened acrylic chemistry is required but in higher volume for large components. It retains the fast cure profile (work life ~4?6 min at 23 °C, structural strength ~18?20 min) and the high shear, peel and impact strength characteristics of the 45 mL version. The larger cartridge is particularly useful in aerospace production lines and heavy repair docks where bonding extensive skin structures, panels, or composite modules and requiring high throughput and minimal cure down time. The same aerospace test standards apply, making it suitable for commercial and military aircraft assemblies and repairs.
