The Babbco HM406 is a high?sensitivity, water washable fluorescent penetrant formulated for aerospace non?destructive testing (NDT). It enables maintenance engineers to perform detailed crack detection inspections by applying the penetrant to the test surface, then flushing off surface residue with water, applying developer and under UV light visualising fluorescence to pinpoint flaws. As it is water washable, it allows more rapid and controlled processing compared to solvent removable systems, and is compatible with many OEM aerospace approvals. Its typical packaging in large barrels (e.g., 60?L) makes it suited for high?volume inspection environments such as MRO facilities.
