SHERWIN ER-85 is a premium lipophilic emulsifier formulated for Method B penetrant inspections as specified by AMS 2644 and ISO 3452-2 standards. Designed to remove excess surface penetrant effectively without a pre-wash, ER-85 optimizes flaw detection by minimizing background fluorescence while preserving flaw-entrapped penetrant integrity. Its controlled emulsification process reduces over-emulsification risks, making it superior to conventional emulsifiers.
