Information
Chemosil 511 is a high-performance, one-coat adhesive engineered to bond silicone and fluoroelastomers to metal and various substrates during vulcanization. Developed for optimal bonding efficiency and ease of use, this adhesive eliminates the need for multi-coat systems, reducing application time and complexity while delivering durable, high-strength bonds.
Key Features:
- Versatile Application: In addition to bonding VMQ and FKM elastomers, it serves as a highly effective primer when paired with Chemosil 6025 or Chemosil 231 G adhesives for bonding other elastomers to fabrics.
- Visible Film Option: Enhances visibility of adhesive film on metal with optional savinyl colorants for quality control.
- Long Shelf Life: Maintains performance for up to one year when stored properly in its original, unopened container below 25°C (77°F).
Applications:
Chemosil 511 is ideal for rubber-to-metal bonding in automotive, industrial, and aerospace applications, and also serves as a reliable primer for bonding elastomers to fabrics in complex assemblies. Its adaptable application methods and broad curing temperature range make it suitable for a wide variety of component shapes and manufacturing processes.
