    Material Engineering & Design Features

EVO-STIK 528 is formulated using polychloroprene rubber technology to provide a balance of immediate tack and long-term bond strength. The adhesive forms a strong contact bond once coated surfaces are allowed to become touch dry and are then brought together under pressure.

The adhesive is suitable for bonding:

    • Decorative laminates (including Formica®)
    • Rigid PVC
    • Wood and timber products
    • Chipboard and hardboard
    • Cork materials
    • Leather
    • Certain rubber materials
    • Stone
    • Metal
    • Dense firm fabrics

The formulation is not suitable for:

    • Expanded polystyrene
    • Plasticized PVC (vinyl)
    • Polyethylene (PE)
    • Polypropylene (PP)
    • Bituminous surfaces
    • Cellulose-painted surfaces

    Installation & Handling

    • Ensure all bonding surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dust and grease
    • Roughen smooth or polished surfaces before application
    • Apply an even ribbed coating to both surfaces using a serrated spreader
    • Allow adhesive films to become touch dry before assembly
    • Typical touch dry times:
      • Porous surfaces: 10-15 minutes
      • Non-porous surfaces: 10-20 minutes
    • Join surfaces within 45 minutes of adhesive application
    • Apply firm pressure across the entire bond area
    • Use a roller or press where appropriate for improved contact
    • Allow 24-48 hours to achieve maximum bond strength

    Environmental & Compliance Notes

    • Store in original unopened packaging
    • Recommended storage temperature: +5°C to +25°C
    • Shelf Life: Up to 12 months under recommended storage conditions
    • For interior use or protected exterior applications only
    • Avoid exposure to direct weathering including rain and prolonged sunlight
    • Refer to the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) before use

    Key Advantages

    • Strong contact bonding performance across multiple substrates
    • Excellent balance of initial grab and final bond strength
    • Easy application and handling characteristics
    • Toluene-free formulation with reduced odor
    • Good resistance to temperature variations during service
    • Suitable for interior construction, industrial, and furnishing applications
    • Immediate handling capability after assembly
