Overview

PPG PR1776M Class B Sealant (PPG PR1776MB 1/2 B1001, 100ml Semkit) is a low density, high temperature, modified polysulfide integral fuel tank sealant formulated for demanding aerospace applications. Designed for fillet sealing of fuel tanks and fuselage structures, it provides significant weight savings while maintaining durable elastomeric properties, excellent fuel resistance, and reliable adhesion to common aircraft substrates. Upon curing, it forms a resilient rubber that withstands extended exposure to jet fuel and aviation gasoline with limited resistance to phosphate ester hydraulic fluids.

Mixing & Handling

• Mix Part A and Part B thoroughly until uniform according to specified mix ratios for the selected Class B work life grade
• Scrape container sides and bottom to avoid unmixed material
• Apply immediately to clean, prepared surfaces

Surface Preparation

• Clean surfaces with approved solvents using lint free cloths per AMS 3819
• Remove all contaminants such as oil, dirt, lubricants
• Use approved adhesion promoters when required

Storage

• Semkit / Can Kits: Minimum 9 months at 40 80 F (4.5 27 C)
• Pre mixed Frozen Cartridges: 28 days at or below 40 F ( 40 C)
